These bearings have tapered inner and outer raceways between which tapered roller are arranged and are mounted in matched pairs either facing each other or back to back on a common dual outer raceway. The design of taper rollers makes them particularly suited to accommodating combined axial and radial loads typical of those experienced in wheel hubs or heavy rolling machinery.
