Drum-shaped roller bearings are single row, self-aligning roller bearings. They face by the ball outer raceway of the entities, with two ribs and the cylindrical bore or tapered bore of the inner entity, and with a cage roller drum composition. Bearings can not be split.

Drum-shaped roller bearings particularly suitable for use in the event of high radial shock loading and misalignment must be compensated for the place. See misalignment compensation. The axial load carrying capacity is small.
